Introducing Traveler's Table
Nestled in the heart of Houston at 520 Westheimer Rd, Traveler's Table invites you on a culinary journey that transcends borders. This eclectic restaurant is a vibrant mosaic of flavors, drawing inspiration from diverse global cuisines. Upon stepping into this lively space, you can feel the buzzing atmosphere, underscored by friendly service that makes each guest feel at home.
As a food reviewer, I was captivated by the striking visual and flavorful offerings showcased at Traveler's Table. Each dish is a testament to thoughtful preparation. Tommie Byrd's experience is a clear reflection of what many relish: those fall-off-the-bone tender Jamaican Oxtail Stew paired with perfectly seasoned black beans and rice, accentuated by the sweetness of mango and the gentle heat of chilies. It's a symphony of flavors that beckons you to savor every bite.
For those who might lean towards lighter fare, the Roasted Cauliflower Tabbouleh impressed with its freshness and vibrancy, providing a satisfying crunch that complements the richer dishes beautifully. And while some diners might find the price point slightly higher, the variety and innovation in the menu offer an experience that is undoubtedly worth it.
I found Lauren Croft's sentiment encapsulated the essence of Traveler's Table perfectly; the intriguingly crafted dishes promise an inviting return visit. From the delightful pao de queijo to the refreshing snapper ceviche, and the unforgettable pistachio-crusted rack of lamb, each plate is designed to encourage sharing and discovery. The hint of guilt associated with indulging in the black sesame lava cake balanced with ube ice cream was an exquisite finale that lingers long after the meal.
The atmosphere remains a cornerstone of the experience. Despite being filled with patrons, it maintains a comfortable buzz, allowing for easy conversation. Cecilia Wang highlighted the divine Thai ribs and oxtail, while Family Traveling USA praised their brunch offerings, including the Custard Lava French Toast and Korean “Sticky” Rib Fried Rice, which were met with universal acclaim.
In an age where fusion cuisines can leave mixed impressions, Traveler's Table carves out a niche that balances bold experimentation with accessibility. If you're traversing through Houston and you find yourself longing for an array of global flavors in one vibrant spot, this eclectic haven should undoubtedly be on your radar. Don’t forget to make a reservation and prepare your palate for a culinary adventure that promises to be as memorable as the flavors it delivers.

I had such an amazing experience at Traveler’s Table! Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I had the Jamaican Oxtail Stew and it was incredible — fall-off-the-bone tender with rich gravy, perfectly seasoned black beans, rice, and a pop of sweetness from the mango and heat from the chilies. We also shared the Roasted Cauliflower Tabbouleh, which was fresh, vibrant, and so satisfying. I wish they had other locations across the country. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Houston!
The food was delicious but wasn't as memorable as I hoped. Drinks and the Brazilian rolls were awesome! I would skip the Mac n Cheese. There are a lot of different flavors in each dish, so if you don't like fusion cuisine, this is not the place for you. It's also on the pricey side. I actually enjoyed their smaller restaurant, Travelers Cart, much better. Same great drinks! As I've said in many of my other reviews of restaurants in this area, parking can be a nightmare, so go EARLY!
Traveler's Table is one I'd been wanting to go to for a while, and 2 of my closest friends and I made the time to go for an early birthday dinner. It is safe to say that I will be returning because there is so much that I want to try. The lowest part for all of us was the margarita flight. I'm not a big tequila person - I'm also not the one who ordered the flight. However, I did like the creativity of the drinks. I just would have chosen something different. We did split everything we got. For appetizers, we had pao de queijo, snapper ceviche, and pani puri. I'm a sucker for pao de queijo, and recently discovered pani puri. These didn't miss. Thr snapper civiche was light and refreshing. For our entrees, we got the yellow crab curry and pistachio-crusted rack of lamb. I always feel guilty getting soft shell crab just because it maintains it shape, but it was delicious. The rack of lamb was also incredible and definitely worth having. However the entree section is where we struggled on not picking way more than we needed. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame lava cake that had ube ice cream and yuzu whipped cream. We also got 3 scoops of ice cream - vanilla, coconut, and ube - as a birthday treat. The lava cake was incredibly rich the but the ube and yuzu balanced it well. All three ice creams were delicious but the coconut ended up being my favorite. Our server (whose name I forgot; I'm sorry!) was incredible. One of our party members has gluten issues and he did a fabulous job of checking what was or was not able to be gluten friendly for her. It was beyond appreciated. The atmosphere was honestly...amazing? Even pretty full, it didn't feel overwhelmingly loud, which I was thankful for. So definitely will be going back to try several things.
Their food is AS AMAZING AS YOU IMAGINE when you see the menu and the pictures!!! Thai ribs and oxtail are so good, highly recommend getting the mango passion fruit mousse after all the flavorful dishes!!! A little crowed a little loud, the tables are small, nice service a little slow, but who cares if the food are this good!
We visited for brunch and had a fantastic experience! Parking was valet and was quick and easy. We had made a reservation right at opening and were sat quickly. All of the staff were very friendly. We tried the Custard Lava French Toast, Korean “Sticky” Rib Fried Rice, and Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. Every dish was amazing - one of the all around best brunches we have ever had!
Stumbled upon Traveler’s Table while visiting the city, and I’m so glad I did. The menu is packed with global-inspired dishes that all sounded incredible—honestly, it was tough to choose. I started with the crab samosas, which were perfectly flaky and bursting with flavor. I found myself wishing I had ordered a second round. For the main course, I went with the adobo snapper, and it absolutely delivered—rich, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. This place is a gem. Next time I’m in Houston, I’m definitely coming back to explore more of the menu.
I was visiting Houston, and a local friend recommended we meet for lunch at this restaurant. What a great place! Our server, Miriam, was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere is super relaxed and clean. The restaurant specializes in international plates, which makes it somewhat unique. I ordered the huevos mexicanos, which is like a Spanish omelet. It was awesome. My friend ordered the Louisiana fried chicken, and he wasn't disappointed. Our appetizer was a bread pudding, which was phenomenal! 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend this place, and I'll come back next time I'm in Houston.
A very enjoyable experience here. The place was a vibe. Nice music, great atmosphere, friendly staff. My mom, sister and I went for brunch and we had a wonderful time! It was busy but the service stayed up. 10/10 would recommended!
